We are looking for a full-stack mid-level Developer to join our Sage.com Web Development team at a very exciting time. The team itself focuses upon enhancements and optimisations to current solutions and processes to enable core business KPI’s.
You will work in a fast-paced agile environment, supported by a friendly and experienced team who are responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining Sage’s most critical digital marketing platform built on C# .NET and Sitecore CMS.

Key Responsibilities

Important for success:
- At least 3 years of experience in software development using C# .NET with front end skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, analytical, problem solver.
- Be an active and enthusiastic team player with a professional attitude.
- Have an open and inquisitive mind, not afraid to be challenged.
- Work well in a multi-cultural environment, able to work independently but also in a team setting.

Nice to have:
- Sitecore CMS.
- Experience building Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, API familiarity.
- Understanding of Marketing, Sales or Accounting Business processes and industry best
practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to team meetings and agile processes including participating in planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Perform peer reviews of colleague’s code, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate on code using Git and GitHub.
• Resolve defects/bugs found during peer reviews and QA testing.
• Take ownership and accountability for deliverables, ensuring changes are successfully delivered into a production environment.
• Collaborate with other teams in Sage’s technology group.
• Champion best practices like writing clean and reusable code, following good design principles.
• Create and maintain relevant documentation to describe designs, coding/configuration, team processes etc.
• Continuously strive to make improvements to the existing products and/or systems and services.
• Provide support to other teams when issues are reported in either production or test environments.

Job Description

About our Principal Data Developer role
As the Principal Data Developer, you will be recognised as a technology leader by building strong partnerships and relationships across the business. Work collaboratively with others, irrespective of team or geographical borders, to meet shared objectives, delivering world class customer and colleague-centric solutions. This is a great opportunity to work as a Principal Data Developer in a cross functional data delivery team responsible for the design and build of a range of complex data integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Summary of your day-to-day?

• Estimate, plan, design, develop and support Data Integration solutions to agreed standards, specifications, and timescales.
• Adopt an approach to delivery where the approach is to develop once, use many times.
• Automate transformation processes which efficiently extract, transform, and load data between different source and target systems.
• Support end to end data migration and project plans, taking responsibility for project deliverables.
• Support the business on our primary systems, Informatica Cloud from a software developer perspective and be familiar with other similar technologies.
• Construct information technology (IT) documentation based on identified needs of the project or program of work.
• Devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements working within the IT intake process and the predefined IT documentation
framework.
• Design, test and deploy integrations optimised for performance and the required cadence.
• Contribute to selection and recommendation of new tooling matching requirements and/or Data team strategy provided by technology to enable and improve the business for
a given project or domain.
• Develop through self-learning and training deep/extensive expertise that sets a standard across Sage.
• Understand the importance of global technology relevance/trends and awareness of appropriate technologies that would suit our varying customer bases. Has the ability to
influence Sage's technology strategy.
• Experience of Informatica Cloud.
• Proven experience creating end to end Data Integration solutions.
• Experience developing complex Data Integration by identifying simple reusable, but effective solutions is required.
• Experience in a technical leadership role; providing guidance across a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience within a similar role.
• Commercial experience of SQL Database technologies.
• Experience working in a Data Management/Business Intelligence team.
• Experience working with Snowflake
• Familiarity with DI / ETL technologies
