Description: Our Client, a wholesale electricity supplier and a provider of clean energy, is hiring an NOC Engineer II in Juno Beach, FL.
Responsibilities(including but not limited to):
• Responsible for monitoring either SONET or IPMPLS network and environmental alarms from a centralized Network Operations Center (NOC) ensuring high availability and attainment of service levels;
• Detect and analyze alarms to provide basic to moderate fault isolation and remote troubleshooting, escalating if necessary;
• Utilize telephone and trouble ticket database to notify Technicians of alarms and equipment outages;
• Execute maintenance methods and procedures;
• Act as a focal point until restoration for outages;
• Assist in process improvement and automation;
• Coach and train Tier 1 NOC engineers.
Requirements:
• Experience with transport and transmission systems relevant to SONET, OCx, and asynchronous signals, or Ethernet and IP Services;
• Experience in telecommunications industry in a NOC or similar role that requires a 24x7 operation (2,5+ years);
• Experience working on projects with limited supervision;
• Bachelor's degree in technical / computer discipline (preferred).
